5/31/08 - Star Wars Control Panel Restoration:
This past week I managed to complete the restoration of my Star Wars control panel.   I painted all the metal parts and installed new overlays.  I also installed a thumb button rebuild kit and some bumper bushings from http://www.videogameparts.com.  You can check out pictures of the finished product on my Star Wars page.

5/11/08 - 720 Joystick Rebuild and Warlords High Score Save Kit:
I actually managed to get some work done on my games this weekend.  The first project I tackled was my 720 joystick.  I wanted to get it all cleaned up, and install a couple parts I had purchased to get the thing working like new.  It seemed like a scary task, but luckily Francis from Ataricade.com documented his 720 joystick rebuild with great pictures and description.  Check out his tutorial here.

My joystick received a NOS roller, pivot ball, and joystick handle.  I also installed new leafswitches and buttons to replace the old microswitch buttons.  The difference in play with the buttons and joystick is amazing.  Hopefully now I can join the big boys with some decent high scores.

Second on the list was installing the Warlords High Score that I purchased from Mark Spaeth.  The kit was a snap to install, and works great.

Pics of the upgrades can be seen on my 720 and Warlords pages.

And I almost forgot... A while back I purchased Mark Spaeth's Six Pac kit to replace my 96 in 1.  I was looking for something a little less overwhelming for when I had guests over.  The new kit is simple and awesome.  You can view a pic of the menu screen on my Pac page.

5/8/08 - Space Duel Sold:
I recently sold off another color vector.  I have been getting into vintage BMX bikes lately, so I needed to make some room in the garage.

I have not been doing too much with the games lately, but I have stockpiled a decent number of parts to do some restorations and what not.  When I find the time, I will elaborate and possibly post a small review on some of the products I have purchased.  I am hoping to actually finish some projects this summer.

12/3/07 - A Couple More Games Leave the Collection:
In the last few days I sold both my Gyruss and Gravitar.   I think I have finally narrowed the collection down to the number of games that I actually have room for.  Imagine that!  Hopefully that means I will have more room and time to work on the games that need some restoration.

9/18/07 - Updates:
So a while back I found some pretty awesome vintage arcade pictures on Flickr.  The owner of the pics was nice enough to let me host them on this site.  Check them out here.  I hope to add some additional Vintage arcade pictures to the site, but they are not that easy to come by!  If you have some you would like me to share on the site, please email them to me.

I also went ahead and added some stuff to the Random Radness section.  Be sure to check it out.

9/9/07 - Sold Some Games:
Wow - I didn't even know that I had 28 games in the house until I finished up the games section of this site.  I ended up selling six games so far, and plan on possibly selling a couple more.  The games that are gone are: Warlords Cocktail (this was a spare), Ice Cold Beer, Paperboy, Food Fight Cocktail, Centipede Cabaret, and Gyruss.  I guess it is time to decide what the new pinball machine will be.

9/1/07 - Finally Working On the New Site:
Well, I am finally getting around to working on the new site.  I bought this domain a while ago, but never managed to find the time to  get it up and running.  This site will be very similar to my old site www.krakboi.com, with just a slightly different look.  Hopefully the new site will give me the motivation to add updates frequently.

I am currently working on changing the collection up a bit.  My collection has grown to the point where I am not able to play all of my games intimately and actually get good at them.  I am going to narrow the collection down a bit, and finish restoring some of the remaining games.  I also want to add a new pinball machine.  I know I will miss the games I am selling, but it will be nice to have a little bit of extra room in the garage.
